Conservation

Conservation work and wildlife management on various wildlife species is a vital and ongoing process but unfortunately there are usually substantial costs associated with wildlife research and species protection which puts a financial burden on the game reserves concerned. That is why ConservAfrica was initiated…

We assist these game reserves by assisting with the funding of these conservation costs through our clients’ financial and ‘hands-on’ physical participation. It’s a win-win and an unforgettable experience for all parties concerned.

The type of conservation work that gets conducted on Africa’s flagship species includes:

  • Satellite/telemetry tracking collar fitment/replacement/removal for monitoring and research purposes
  • Male and female contraception to curb over-population or in-breeding and to preserve genetic strength and diversity
  • Horn & hump microchip insertions to deter poaching and earnotchings for visual identification purposes
  • Brandings for visual identification and research purposes
  • Disease testing
  • Relocations
